Taos Storytelling Festival


The Taos Storytelling Festival has become an annual mecca for storytellers and lovers of stories of all ages. This year, the 21st Annual Taos Storytelling Festival is set to take place online and will once again feature national and internationally-renown tellers, workshop, and a Friday night story slam!

Friday, October 9, 2020
7:00-8:30 PM 

StorySLAM hosted by Jeff Cochran10 storytellers compete to join the main storytelling show Theme:  Sacred Land, Water & Skyeach story no more than eight minutes

Saturday, October 10
12:30-3:00 PM 

Adult Storytelling Workshop “Seeing Red – Looking Past the Stereotypes.” An in-depth look at the issues surrounding cultural appropriation and exploitation in literature and storytelling. 

7:00-9:00 PM 

Annual Taos Storytelling Festival big show ONLINE co-hosted by Jeff Cochran and Jan Smith, with the winner of the StorySLAM, Cisco Guevara, Pat McCabe, and Gayle Ross
