The New Mexico Jewish Storytelling Festival 2025 promises more stories, more workshops, and more opportunities to bask in the world of Jewish story. This year’s event will be in person only.

This three day festival has something for everyone:

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14: Kabbalat Story Shabbat; Potluck & Open Mic (6:30 - 9:00 PM)

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15: Morning Torah Service 10:00 AM with storytellers Cherie Karo Schwarts, Devorah Gordon Zaslow & Joey Netzorg

11:45 AM Robge’s Tische - Mid Eastern Feast & Stories around the Table

1:00 PM Moving Midrash: Chayel Sarah - storytelling the Torah and ourselves with Maggidah Cassandra Sagan.

2:30 PM Performance: Maybe I’m Crazy - But Maybe I’m Not,” a one-man show written & performed by Gerald Fierst - NOT FOR CHILDREN.

6:30 PM Havdallah

7:00 PM Introducing “The Rooster Princess” and the Newish Women’s Storytelling Collective

Music by Rabbi David Zaslow, Story Concert featuring devorah Gordon Zaslow, Gerald Fierst, & Cherie Karo Schwartz

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16: 10 AM Children and Family Program with Rabbi David Zaslow & Maggidah Devorah Zaslow, Making Stories with Maggidah Batya Podos, and Student performers.

Featuring Rabbi David Zaslow & Maggidah Devorah; Gordon Zaslow, Storyteller Gerald Fierst, and many others, with a special Families and Children’s Program on Sunday morning.

Tickets: With the exception of Friday night and Saturday morning services (which are free) Tickets are required to participate. See below for pricing.

$100 Friends of NMJSF (adult weekend pass plus donation to NMJSF)

$62 for adult weekend pass, Students & Seniors $42 includes Saturday lunch & evening Storytelling Concert

$32 single day/$18 for Saturday Performance only

(Friday night & Saturday morning Storytelling Services and Sunday Children/family program are FREE)
