The Aldo Leopold Writing Program hosts its November Backyard Story Series on Sunday, November 15th from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Historic Aldo Leopold House in Albuquerque, NM.

Theme: Migration

What has migration (yours or that of a more-than-human-other) taught you about your connection to land? Have you been transformed through the migration of your kin or touched by alterations to migratory pathways? What calls us to move? What makes us stay?

We want to hear your stories of migration, movement across borders, down rivers, and through land. Move Us! Sign up at the Leopold Writing Program Website.

Bring a blanket or chair or something to sit on. Feel free to bring snacks/drinks to share. All ages welcome.

Storyteller Guidelines:

1. Stories must be true.
2. Stories must be told in the first person.
3. No soapboxing, preaching, poetry, standup routines, etc. While we love all forms of literature, we are looking for stories.
4. Stories must be told in 5-6 minutes.
5. Must relate in someway to the theme of the event.
6. Storytellers are expected to rehearse (and time) their stories and share them from memory.
